Counsellor Directory
This innovative membership service serves to promote business information about your counselling practice, specialized services and skills as well as the ability to upload a profile picture and business logo. With futurist trends heading towards a generation that seeks information online as well as a specific set of skills, knowledge and experience, the CPCA believes this directory will provide a competitive edge for marketing our member's counselling services across Canada to the public, insurance providers, EAP contractors and government for verification of your legitimacy. All members who are in "good standing" will be approved to list their contact information in the directory on an annual basis. It allows our members to login to their directory listing once it has been approved and make any changes to their contact information.

Description
Veronica (Vanessa) is a Master Practitioner of Clinical Counselling (MPCC) who provides a safe and transformative space for individuals navigating trauma, relationship complexities, and addiction. Registered with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA), she integrates evidence-based modalities such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients build resilience.
At the heart of Vanessa’s practice is a person-centred and nonjudgmental approach rooted in harm reduction. She is deeply committed to anti-oppressive and decolonial practices, ensuring that every client feels seen and respected within their unique cultural and systemic context. With specialised training in suicide prevention (ASIST) and extensive experience in neurodiversity, she offers a nuanced and inclusive perspective to those with diverse needs.
Currently, Vanessa balances her time between her work in Addictions Management and Substance Use at Island Health and her private practice. A graduate of the Vancouver College of Counsellor Training (2018), she holds a Diploma in Professional Counselling and a specialised Certificate in Counselling of Intimacy in Relationships. She is also currently completing her Social Work degree at the University of Victoria (Class of 2026) to further broaden her clinical impact and advocacy.
